More Than Talk – Put Me Out of Business

Therapy

The word “therapy” carries a stigma with it, evoking thoughts of being broken, inadequate, and different.

Truth is, though, we are all broken. Inside each of us lies unseen pain that can fester with time. And it can seem like there is no relief, even when you pour out your feelings with someone else.

Therapy, then, is often seen as a last resort, reserved only for those that just can’t seem to manage.

My aim is to remove that stigma and help you realize that getting help isn’t just necessary to survive, but essential to have fulfillment in yourself and your relationships.

More Than Just Talk

Most people think that therapy is a process of unloading on a stranger hoping that the therapist will respond with life-changing wisdom.

This is only sometimes the case.

In fact, achieving your goal in therapy is often a function of getting lucky with your choice of a therapist. So, in a world where therapists are on every corner, let me help you narrow it down.

A great therapist is one with whom you can talk freely and feel safe. But the best therapist for you will do even more. In my experience, the most effective change comes from the skilled application of EMDR therapy removing years of unresolved pain in a matter of minutes.

Going Out of Business

The mantra in the helping professions is to “be in business to put myself out of business.”

In other words, the object is to get you better, so you can move on to the important things in life. Unfortunately, some people spend too much time and money in traditional talk therapy and don’t get the desired results.

For some, this is just fine – they love the relationship they build with the therapist and incorporate their sessions as a regular part of life. For others, however, it leads frustratingly from one therapist to the next.
My approach enables quick and permanent change. You get better fast!

After that YOU dictate therapy! Whether it’s to move on with life, proceed with talk therapy from a new perspective, or just maintain on an infrequent basis, you are in control.

I want you to have a life-changing experience. To that end I have honed my craft as both a talk therapist and a trauma specialist.
